Willis “Peanut” Keeton Sr, 88 of Spring City, Tennessee passed away on Sunday July 26, 2026 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was born in Oneida, Tennessee on June 13, 1938 to the late Edward and Maude Davis Keeton. “Peanut”served with the United States Navy and was a lifelong resident of Spring City. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and did them until his health no longer permitted. He had a 40+ year career as a foreman with TVA.

Willis is also preceded in death by his wife;Donna A. Keeton, his brother; Eddie Keeton and his son-in-law Raymond Hutto.

He is survived by his daughter; Brenda Hutto of Nashville, Tennessee; his son; Willis (Lynn)Keeton Jr of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and his sister; Marona Chambers of Oneida, grandchildren; Tony Melet, Courtney Lam, Heather Howard, Chelsea Peach, Holly Howard, Savannah Keeton and Willis Keeton III and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home Sunday, August 2, 2026 at 3PM with the Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. The family will receive friends from 1PM until the time of the service at Vaughn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Spring City Memorial Gardens with military honors.
