William Michael "Mike" Simpson, 54 , passed away Satur day, Dec 7, 2019 at his residence .

A lifetime resident of this area, Mike worked at La-Z-Boy for several years, before becoming a full time logger and hauler of mountain stone. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors and loved to fish. Mike was of the Protestant Faith.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather Wayne Simpson, his sister Flora Ann "Sissy" Simpson and his brother Barry Simpson.

Survivors include his children Holly Zimmerle of Evensville and Mitchell (Heather) Simpson of Grandview, mother Betty Simpson of Grandview, father Donald (Leila) Simpson of Grandview, his wife Jacqueline "Jackie" Simpson of Anderson, Indiana, his brother Tommy (Diane) Simpson of Grandview and his sister Robin (Rick) Barcus of Jamestown, OH, three grandchildren Christopher (Whitney ) Peak and Dustin and Justin Rogers , hi s great grandchild Braylon Peak and his nieces Susan and Stacie Barcus.

The family will receive friends Thurs day , December 12, 2019 from 1 :00 pm to 3 :00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home . Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
