On Sunday, December 26, 2021, William Franklin "Frankie" Duren II passed away at the age of 72 at his home.

Frankie, loving known also as "Bull" and "Big Daddy" was born on July 25, 1949 in Florence, Alabama.  He graduated from Spring City High School in 1968.  Frankie served in the United States Army as a paratrooper with the 82 nd Airborne. He was a boilermaker for 38 years and was a member of Local 453 in Knoxville, Tennessee and Local 454 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  To know Frankie was to love him.  He was known for his big personality and kind heart.  Frankie loved to hunt and fish when he was younger, but his love of good music stayed with him until the end. He loved all music, but especially Willie, Waylon and the Allman Brothers.

Frankie was preceded in death by his parents William D. and Mary Lela Duren and his wife Della Turner Duren.

He is survived by his daughter Milissa (Daryl) Hartman of Spring City , his four grandchildren; Will (Hunter Grogan) Gibson of Chattanooga, Clark Gibson of Rossville, Georgia, Grayson (Dave) McClung of Grandview and Mackenzie Hartman of Spring City, his several great grandchildren, his sister Diane (Nick) Grimes of Evensville, his stepdaughter Alana (Brian) Phillips of Rockwood, his two nephews and his pups Choco and Rocky.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.  There will be no services.
