William Carlton "Carl" White, 63, a resident of Spring City, died Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Naples, Florida.

Carl was born on September 1, 1954 in Johnson City, Tennessee. He graduated from Red Bank High School and Chattanooga State Community College with a degree in drafting. Carl was retired from the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers (Local 46) in Knoxville, Tennessee where he served in many roles during his long career. His most fulfilling role, for the union, was as an apprenticeship instructor where he served many years.

He was preceded in death by his father Jay White, his mother Helen White Rose and his wife Jo White.

Carl is survived by his children, son Wil White, daughters Tracy Queen and Jackie Wright and his longtime loving companion Merrilee Bridwell, siblings Teresa James and Wayne (Kathy) White, grandchildren Hope Dunn, Tyler Queen and Faith Wright and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Denton officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 25, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carl's life.
