Obituary

Willard Earl “Butch” Morgan, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. He was born January 5, 1949 in Dayton, Tennessee to the late Willard and Juanita (Frazier) Morgan.

Known affectionately as “Butch” to his family and friends, he was a hardworking man with many talents and skills. Throughout his life, he worked in construction, operating heavy machinery and installing water and sewer lines. He was also a skilled mechanic who was known for his remarkable ability to fix just about anything. If something was broken, chances were Butch could figure out how to fix it.

Butch was always willing to lend a helping hand and was someone others could count on when they needed him. Whether it was working on a vehicle, repairing something, or helping with a project, he took pride in what he did. His knowledge, hardworking nature, and willingness to help others were just a few of the qualities that made him special to those who knew him.

Butch is survived by his loving wife, BJ Morgan; his children, Mark Morgan of Dayton, Stephanie (James) Hackler of Evensville, Melanie (Danny) Carter of Dayton, Jennafer (Jarrod) Jewell of Dayton, and Alisha (Nick) Jones of Copperhill.

He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Andria, Mark, Shae, Tyler, Braden, Emma Dathan, Keith, Brantley, Nathan and his great-grandchildren, Jaylee, Weston, Taylin, Grayson, Kaden, Everly, Ray, Paxton, Kinsley, Kennedy, and Lainey.

Butch leaves behind a lifetime of memories, a legacy of hard work, and a family who will forever cherish the time they shared with him. Though his hands are now at rest, the things he built, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will live on for generations.

A memorial service for Butch will be held at a later date.
