Rev. Wallace Powell 70 of Spring City went home to be with his Lord on Saturday June 23 , 2018 at his residence . Wallace was a member of the High Point Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He had taught Sunday S chool, and loved serving in Vacation Bible School to spread God's word. He was a former pastor of Graysville Baptist Church and served his country in the U. S. Army.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents Pete S. and Lucille Lane Powell, sisters Maxine Rice McMillian, Lawana Newell Morgan, Peggy Holland Anderson, brothers Gilbert, L.E. and Benny Powell.

Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Donna Pendleton Powell, son Michael Powell, daughter Angela (John) Knox, grandsons Jacob, David, Bradley and Casey and several nieces, nephew s and cousins.

Funeral services will be Wednesday June 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Mitchell, Rev. Jeff Sadler and Rev. Gene Couch officiating. Interment will fo llow in the Friendship Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p . m.
