Vina Ray Evans, 93, died Monday, October 2, 2017 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

A lifetime resident of Grandview, Vina was the daughter of the late Samuel and Viola Daniels Ray.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Vina was preceded in death by her husband Lester Evans, son Ray Evans, grandson Robert Lynn Evans, brothers Riley Ray and Jonas Ray and sisters Reba Ray, Bonnie Wolfe, Lillie Ray Motis, Hazel Issac and Robalee Reed.

Survivors include her sons Junior Evans and Eddie Evans both of Spring City, Kenneth Evans, Robert Evans and Harley Evans all of Grandview and J. D. Evans of Shelbyville, Tennessee, daughters Roxie Wolfe of Cleveland, Alabama, Rosalee York of Lenoir City and Wilma Seals of Spring City, brother Junior Ray of Grandview, sisters Stella Smith and Shirley Reed both of Spring City and Mary Leffew of Grandview and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence Waller officiating.  Interment will follow in the Johnson Stand Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
