Vance E. Galloway, 73, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at his home.
A lifetime resident of Evensville, Vance was the son of the late Allen S. and Arkie Morris Galloway. He was a graduate of Spring City High School and a veteran of the United State Marine Corps. serving his country for four years. Also a member of the National Guard, Vance served in Desert Storm before retiring. He was a crane operator and retired from J. M. Huber. Vance attended Smyrna Baptist Church in Evensville. He loved his animals especially his dogs, Jack and Jill.
Vance was preceded in death by his brother Gary Allen Galloway, baby sister Vrina Galloway and sister Edna Wiggins.
Survivors include his brother Alvin (Bonnie) Galloway of Grandview, sisters Doris (Ross) Bell and Bonnie (Alfred) Reed both of Grandview, Brenda (Kenneth) Walker and Debby (Steve) Curtain both of Dayton, brother-in-law Bobby Wiggins of Decatur, Tennessee, sister-in-law Karen Galloway of Fredericksburg, Virginia and special friend Carole Rusbridge of Dayton.
Funeral services are Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Bell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Reed Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
