Thomas E. Garrett, 65 died Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center.

Born on February 26, 1955, Thomas was a lifetime resident of Spring City.  He attended Spring City High School and served in the U. S. Army.  Thomas worked for Shaw Industries for several years, but spent most of his working career at Polyloom Corporation in Dayton. He liked to repair cars when he was younger. Thomas was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parent s Gardner E. and Nora Agnes Henderson Garrett Sr., brother Clyde Garrett, siste rs Janie Palmer and Linda Hayes, niece Amber Ivey and longtime companion Lisa Ezell .

Survivors include his children Jessica (Randy) Sharp and Joshua (Natsha) Ellis both of Spring City, brothers Gardner E. Garrett Jr. of Evensville and David Garrett of Georgianna, Alabama, sisters Faye Campbell of Spring City, Anna Jones of Norfolk, Virginia, Mary Monday of Talladega, Alabama and Kathy Ivey of Knoxville , grandc hildren Kailee and Austin Couch, several other grandchildren and special nephew Jerry Hayes.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. George Thrash officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
