Terry Prater 74 of Spring City passed away Saturday July 9, 2022 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. He was born in Hueysville, Kentucky on April 9, 1948. Terry graduated from Garrett High School in Garrett, KY in 1967. He worked for the Ford Motor Company for 30 years , retiring in 1998. Terry enjoyed car shows, fishing and playing pool. He and his late wife Patsy moved to Spring City in 1998 to enjoy Watts Bar Lake.

Terry was preceded in death by father Feely Prater and his wife of 51 years Patsy Prater in 2018.

Survivors include his mother Erma Prater of Clermont, FL, his children Melissa (Eric) Tittle of Columbus, OH and Jennifer (D.J.) Martin of Athens, Tennessee , his brothers Ben (Teresa) Prater of Hazard, Kentucky and Dale Prater of Clermont, Florida, his sister Kathy (John) Van Marter of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and his grandchildren Derek Tittle, Olivia Martin, Megan Tittle, Landon Martin and Jillian Martin.

Funeral s ervices will be Tuesday, July 12 , 2022 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. Interment will follow in Spring City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 12 , 2022 from 2 to 4 PM at Vaughn Funeral Home.
