Terry "Pete" Petrey, 75 of Spring City died on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at his home.

Born on June 8, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio, Pete was the son of the late Harold Orlando and Elizabeth Moneypenny Petrey. He retired from General Motors after 32 years and moved to the Spring City community in 2000 .  Pete was a member of the Elks Club and Moose Club in Ohio.  He was also a former member of the Masonic Lodge there.  Pete loved to fish, do woodwork, collect knives, travel the country and work in his garden.  He was known as the "Mator Man".  Pete was active in the Cub Scouts and attended the Spring City Church of God.

Pete was also preceded in death by his son Gary Petrey.

Survivors include his wife Debra Petrey of Spring City, daughters Katrina Carroll of Dayton , TN and Amanda (Earl) Mosley of Evensvillle, brother Scott Petrey of Colorado, sisters Susan Hill of Dayton, O H and Geri Moritz of Michigan, grandchildren Elaina West, Colton Teffer, Austin Teffer and Kinslee Mosley and great granddaughter Sophia McDonald.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org or the Alzheimer Association www.alz.org .
