Shirley E. Reed age 73 of Grandview, Tennessee died on Monday, August 28, 2023 at her residence.

She was born to the late Benjamin and Helen Peak Clark on July 1, 1950 and was a lifetime resident of the area. Shirley was a graduate of Spring City High School. She worked at many places including: Spring City Manufacturing Company, Sherwood Corporation, The Village Flower and Gift Shoppe, and John's Place. Shirley loved growing flowers, designing arrangements, working jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Shirley was a member at Heritage Independent Baptist Church in Spring City, Tennessee.

Shirley is also preceded in death by her daughter Christy Phipps, her brothers Howard, Boyd, and Bill Clark, and her sister Mary Schaffer.

Survivors include her husband Jesse Reed of Grandview, Tennessee; her sisters Betty Clark, Wilma Ellis, Glenda Linebarger, and Vicki Ellison all of Spring City, Tennessee, and Louise Sanders of Grandview, Tennessee; her brother Danny Clark of Spring City, Tennessee; her two grandchildren Christopher (Danielle) Armstrong and Jessica (Korey) Gilliam; and her great grandchildren McKenzie Phipps, Landon Gilliam, Peyton Gilliam, Layken Gilliam, Josie Armstrong, and Theodore Armstrong.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Heritage Independent Baptist Church, 6040 Toestring Valley Road, Spring City, TN 37381, with Rev. Jonathan Panther and Rev. Johnathan Lane officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Heritage Independent Baptist Church.
