Shirley R. Evans, 82, formerly of Red Bank, died Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Rhea County.

Born and raised in Rhea County, Tennessee, Shirley was the daughter of the late Adam and Alice Fugate McDonald. She retired from the restaurant industry. Shirley moved from Red Bank to Dayton in 2010. She was of the Baptist faith.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Evans, son Edwin Evans and daughter Wanda Daniels.

Survivors include her daughter Emmaline Evans of Red Bank granddaughters Carolina Evans of Red Bank and Alice Daniels of Dayton and several other grandchildren.

Funeral services are Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Moore officiating. Interment will be in the Smyrna Cemetery in Evensville. The family will receive friends Saturday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
