Shirley A. Monday, 70, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center.

A lifelong resident of Rhea County, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Mary Alice Bailey Moore Sr. Shirley was a graduate of Spring City High School. She was a LPN for 40 years working many years for Dr. Richard Jost then retiring from the Spring City Medical Clinic. Shirley was a member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church in Spring City.

She was preceded in death by her first husband George W. Shattles and her brother Charles F. "Buddy" Moore Jr.

Survivors include her husband Jim Monday of Spring City, son Brent (Amanda) Shattles of Spring City, brother Bobby Moore of Spring City, sister Nancy (Albert) Smith of Spring City and grandchild Avery Shattles.

Funeral services are Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
