Sharon Ruth McCoy age 75 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at her residence.

She was born on December 18, 1948 in Sevierville, Tennessee. Sharon was a graduate of Knox East High School and Knox Business School. She has lived in this area since 1967 after moving here from Knoxville. Sharon worked as a Pharmacy Technician at the Spring City Pharmacy for 34 years until her retirement in 2020. Besides the pharmacy, she worked at various businesses in the county. Sharon enjoyed music, crafts, toile painting, and reading. She was an active member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church where she was apart part of various activities. Sharon was also a member of the O.E.S. Chapter #203 in Spring City.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Earl Clyde and Johnnie Ruth Vance Jones.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years B.J. McCoy of Spring City, Tennessee; her sons Mark (Michelle) McCoy, Brent (Valerie) McCoy, and Matt (Whitney) McCoy all of Spring City, Tennessee; her grandchildren Luke McCoy, Micaela McCoy, Bailey McCoy, Taylor McCoy, Beck McCoy, and Lennon McCoy; and her great grandchild Silas McCoy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. at Wolf Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Wolf Creek Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Wolf Creek Baptist Church, 5225 Wolf Creek Road, Spring City, Tennessee 37381, for "The Good News Club".
