Sara R. Schmidt, 95 died Saturday, August 29, 2020 at her residence .

Born on June 6, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio , to the late Les lie and Margaret McDonald Seitz, s he was the last survivor of her siblings. Sara was employed as a secretary for the State of Ohio, State Highway Division before her retirement. She was married to her late husband William Robert "Bob" Schmidt for 72 years. Together their mantra was: " We don't stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing ." Sara and her husband , moved to the Spri ng City community in 1985.  She enjoyed playing bridge and "500"; she was an avid golfer.  Sara was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her children Robert (Susan) Schmidt of Delaware, Ohio and Kathy (Terry) Brake of Aspers, Pennsylvania , grandson Ryan (S taci) Schmidt of Spring City, great grandson Willi am Schmidt and several nephews and one niece .

Sara and Bob's ashes will be comingled and interred together in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The arrangements for the graveside memorial service will be announced at a later date.
