Ruth Barnwell age 85 of Spring City, Tennessee passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 at her residence.

Ruth was born on September 10, 1936 and was a lifetime resident of the area. She graduated from Spring City High School and worked for many years at Kayser Roth Manufacturing. In Ruth's later years, she was a caregiver and became a CNA . She like to croch et and visit with friends and family. She was a member of Spring City Baptist Church.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Robert Barnwell, her parents Jess and Rose Scroggins Lemons, her son Lloyd Barnwell, and sister Edna Motes.

Survivors include her daughters Jan (Paul) Roberts of Dayton and Donna (Dennis) Varner of Spring City; son Joe (Jennifer) Barnwell of Ashland, Alabama; sister Clara Carter of Dayton; 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Hurd officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesd ay, August 16, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vaughn Funeral Home.
