Ruby Barger Cash , 97, of Chesterfield, VA went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Ray; her parents, Julian and Alice Barger; her siblings, Thelma Masoner, Louise Hinch, Charlsey Barton, Leonard Barger, and Max Barger.

She is survived by her daughters, Angela McMurtry, Robin Dudding (Bill); her grandchildren, Jason McMurtry (Jordan), and Holly McMurtry; and sister, Norma Zoe Glomsky (Norm).

Ruby worked during WWII in Oak Ridge, TN on the Manhattan Project. She loved gardening, traveling, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.

A public visitation will be held on May 14 from 2-4pm at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, Richmond, VA. A funeral ceremony will be held at Vaughn Funeral Home, 150 New Lake Road, Spring City, TN. on May 16 at 2pm with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating.  V isitation will be one hour prior to the ceremony.  Interment will follow in the Spring City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association or Riverside School in Richmond, VA. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Spring Arbor of Salisbury, Always Best Care-Richmond, and At Home Hospice.
