Roy L. Reed, 81 , died Thurs day, January 28 , 20 21 at Laurelbrook Nursing Home in Dayton .

Born on November 4, 1939 in Spring City, Roy was a lifetime resident of Rhea County.  He was a caregiver and of the Baptist faith.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife Verna Marietta Reed .

Survivors include his sons Charles (Brenda) Elder of Dayton and Ronald Elder of Battle Creek, Michigan, 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
