Roy Raymond Lawson Jr., 72 died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.

Born in Klamath County, Oregon, Roy was the son of the late Roy R. and Barbara Howe Lawson Sr.  In 2009, he moved from California to the Spring City community.  Roy was a professional fisherman, holding 42 world records.  He loved to sing and play the guitar and loved sports.  Roy liked to mine for gold in the California hills.  He was of the Rosicrusian faith.

Roy was preceded in death by his brothers Richard A. Lawson and Robert Lawson.

Survivors include his wife Virginia Lawson of Spring City, two children and sister-in-law Jeannette A. Lawson of Spring City .

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 6:00 pm at the American Legion Post #203 in Spring City.
