Ronald D. "Ron" Davis 56 of Spring City died Saturday January 14, 2017 at the Roane Medical Center. Born in Princeton, West Virginia, Ron and his family moved to Spring City 38 years ago from West Haven, Illinois. He has been employed with Food City in Fairfield Glade for the last seven years. Although Ron loved to work, his family was always first in his life. He was of the Baptist faith.
Ron was preceded in death by his father Billy William Davis and his brothers Jimmy and Rick Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years Donna Smolucha Davis of Spring City, his mother and step father Ellen and Bob Scott of Spring City. Three children Billy (Mary Ellen) Davis of Spring City, Christine (Matt) Kittle of Hampton, VA and Bubba Davis of Spring City, five grandchildren AmberLe Davis, Seth Davis, Breanna Kittle, Abbigail Wolfe and Nadalina Wolfe, sister Jennifer (Rob) Burns of Spring City, brothers Steve (Diane) Davis and Jerry Davis both of Spring City, brothers and sisters-in-law Ralph and Judy Smolucha and Linda and Dan Godlewski and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 11 am in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Hyle Waldo officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
