Romona Coy age 75 of Spring City, Tennessee died Monday , August 1, 2022 at her residence .

Romona was born on August 11, 1946 in Holly Springs, Mississippi and has been a resident of this area since 2006. She was a hairdresser for most of her career. Romona was a member of Tri-County Quilt ers. She enjoyed doing handwork including quilting, cross stitching, embroidery and was an avid U.T. fan. Romona also won awards in the Athens Quilt Show and the Rhea County Fair. She attended Yellow Creek Baptist Church in Spring City.

Romona is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Thelma King, and her great grandchild Abby Marcum.

Survivors include her husband Ron Coy of Spring City; daughters Mary McCrae and Michelle Coleman both of Evensville; son John R. Coy of Gambrills, Maryland; brother Eddie Tyson of Ohio; sister Vanessa (Rick) Davis of Ohio; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10:00 am in Spring City Memorial Garden with Rev. Mike Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, August 5, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
