Robert "Bob" L . Scott, 76 died Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his home.

Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, Bob was the son of the late Robert Gideon and Isabel Carballo Scott.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.  Bob and his family moved from Illinois to the Spring City community 40 years ago.  He retired from Suburban Manufacturing Company after 16 years of service.  Bob was an author with three published novels. Bob like to stay busy, h e loved woodworking, including refinishing and building furni ture. In his spare time, he loved movies. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Spring City.

Bob was preceded in death by his sons Ron Davis, Rick Davis and Jimmy Davis.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Ellen M. Scott of Spring City, children Steve (Diane) Davis, Jerry Davis and Jennifer (Robert) Burns all of Spring City, daughters-in-law Donna Marie Davis of Spring City, Donna Gail Davis and Jill Davis both of Crossville, sister Mari a Copeland of Longwood, Florida, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on Satur day, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 p m at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev . Colby Bridwell officiating.  The family will receive friends Satur day , February 2, 2019 from 1:00 p m to 2:00 pm at the church .

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church, 296 Macedonia Road, Spring City, TN  37381.
