Robert Leroy Brewin age 91 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Golden Years Retirement Home in Spring City.

He was born on April 30, 1932 in New Jersey to the late Charles Edwin and Martha Ida Darnell Brewin. Robert was a graduate of Collingswood High School in Collingswood, New Jersey. He then attended Annapolis Naval Academy and proudly served his country for 27 years as a Captain in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1977. Robert loved to collect stamps and work outdoors. He was of the Methodist faith.

Robert is also preceded in death by his brother Edwin Brewin and his grandson Jonathan Sklar.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years Dorothy Brewin of Spring City, Tennessee; his children Patricia Fred Sklar of New Port Richey, Florida, Bob (Roxanne) Brewin of Lisbon Falls, Maine, and Diana (Scott) Heath of Spring City, Tennessee; his seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
