Robert Allen Thurman, 66, of Lewisburg, Tennessee and formerly of Spring City, died Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Tennova Healthcare – Shelbyville.

Born in Rockwood, Tennessee , Robert was the son of the late Clint Winford and Edna Jean Harris Thurman. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and prev iously worked for the La-Z-Boy Corporation.  Robert loved to fish and campout.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Randall Thurman and Richard Thurman.

Survivors include his brothers Norman (Bobbie) Thurman of Soddy Daisy, Jerry Thurman, Tommy Thurman, Charles Thurman and Johnny Thurman all of Spring City and sisters Pauline Reed of Spring City and Lisa (Chuck) McCampbell of Spring City.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Spring City Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bob Schafer officiating.
