Rita Ann Morris age 80 of Ooltewah, Tennessee died on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

She was born on December 6, 1942 to the late Earl Edward and Connie Rhea Morgan Miller. She attended Chattanooga State Community College and later received a Bachelor's degree. Rita was a preschool teacher for 20 years retiring from Daisy Head Start. She loved genealogy and being in the outdoors; hiking and camping. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ooltewah, Tennessee.

Rita is also preceded in death by her husband Clarence David Morris Jr.

Survivors include her daughters Aimee (Daniel) Cantuof Ooltewah, Tennessee, Ann Marie McAbee of East Ridge, Tennessee, and Alma Noelle (Blake) Griffey of Ringgold, Georgia; her brothers Gerald (Eloise) Miller of Farmington, Utah, Karl (Elsie) Miller of Phoenix, Arizona, Eddie Morgan and Bobby Thomas both of Old Fort, Tennessee; her seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3067 Ringgold Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363, with President Jeff Cuthburtson officiating. Interment will follow at 4:30 P.M. in the Spring City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
