Ricky D . Collins , 52 , died Tuesday , January 19, 2021 at his home.

Ricky was b orn on October 19, 1968 in Middletown, Ohio .  He was a graduate of Springboro High School in Springboro, Ohio. Ricky worked as a mechanic for General Motors Corporation for several years. He moved from Ohio to the Spring City community in 1998. Ricky loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors, especially camping.  He was a servant of God and would witness to anyone.  Ricky loved his country and always acknowledged any veteran he met.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles W. Collins Sr.

Survivors include his mother Betty R. Collins of Spring City, son Joshua Lee Collins of Ohio, sister Debra Lynn (Terry) Petrey and brother Charles W. (Angie) Collins Jr. both of Spring City and several nieces and nephews .

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Gardner and Jeff Collins officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.  The family asked that due to COVID-19 that masks be worn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org or the Ronald McDonald House , 200 Central Avenue, Chattanooga, TN  37403 .
