Reed H. Fugate, 8 1 died Friday, October 25, 2019 at Life Care of Rhea County. Born at Rhea Springs, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Jack and Effie Reed Fugate. Reed was a pipefitter belonging to Pipefitters Union #45. He loved the outdoors; especially fishing and mowing his yard. Reed enjoyed sports including Tennessee football. He enjoyed being around people and spending time with his family. Reed was a member of Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Claude Edward Fugate.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years Dorothy Nicely Fugate of Dayton and special friends Bethany (John) Herron also of Dayton.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Walden officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home S unday, October 27, 2019 from 2 to 4PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family request s that donations be made to Gideons International or the Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.
