R ebecca McCall Knox, 62 of Spring City died Monday , March 15, 2021 at Rhea Medical Center.

Born on June 21, 1958 in Eustis, Florida, Rebecca was the daughter of the late Julian and Mary Frances Clark McCall. She moved from Florida to the Rhea County community in 1975.  Rebecca held a PhD in Ministerial Education and a Masters in U. S. History – Civil War Studies.  She was a living historian for the Georgia and Alabama Division Reenactors and was known as "Maw Belle" for over 20 years . Rebecca was a member of the Spring City United Methodist Church. She was a lso a charter member of the Spring City Lions Club and of the Memorial Leader Dog f or t he Blind in Rochester, Michigan.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her half-brothers Jimmy McCall and Freddy Clark

She is survived by her daughter Regina Myles of Spring City and her son Ricardo Knox Jr. both of Spring City, her half-sister Linda Thibodeaux of Louisiana and her grandchildren Madison, Taylor, Trent and Serfera.

Funeral services are Thurs day, March 18, 2021 at 12:00PM in t he chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with the Rev. John McKee officiating.  Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery in Evensville.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
