Randy McDonald of Concord, North Carolina, formerly of Evensville, Tennessee passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026 at his brother’s residence in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born January 12, 1961 in Dayton, Tennessee to the late Kelso and Barbara Jean Swafford McDonald. Randy was a Rhea County native and graduated from Rhea County High School and received his Associate Degree in Engineering from Chattanooga State Community College. He relocated to Concord, North Carolina in 1998 and retired from Structural Integrity Associates Inc. in January 2026. Randy was a member of Young Memorial Baptist Church in Concord, North Carolina. He loved Harley motorcycles, traveling and eating BBQ all over the country. Randy also enjoyed Nascar and motocross, but what he loved most was being an Uncle to Riley.

Randy is survived by his brother Ed (Hope) McDonald of Louisville, Tennessee and his niece Riley McDonald.

Graveside services for Randy will be Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 2:00PM. The family will receive friends at Vaughn Funeral Home in Spring City, Tennessee from 12 to 2pm.. Interment will be in the Spring City Cemetery.
