Polly Rankin, 86, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at her residence .

Born in Spring City on November 4, 1933 , Polly was the daughter of the late Clyde Mack and Ellen Smith Jolley.  She was a graduate of Spring City High School .  Polly retired from the banking industry. While living in Knoxville, she was an avid bowler and belonged to several leagues.  Polly enjoyed cooking and liked to read and work puzzles. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Polly was a member of the Spring City United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Howard B. "H. B." Rankin, her sisters Ruby Waldo and Linda Chattin and her granddaughter Carrie Clabough.

Survivors include her children Donna Clabough and Jenny Chattin both of Spring City, brother Curtis (Katie) Jolley of Boston, Massachusetts , grandchildren Shannon Brown, Chris Clabough, Lori Chattin and Hannah Chattin and great grandchildren Chase Allred, Jaxon Clabough and Cyler Clabough.

A memorial service for Polly and her husband, H. B., will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Wyrick officiating. Burial will be in the Spring City Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
