Phil Henson, 70 of Spring City died Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Rhea Medical Center.

Born on October 20, 1950 in Huntington, West Virginia, Phil was a graduate of Frankfort Sr. High School.  He was a semi - truck driver for 35 years, retiring from Frito Lay in 2005.  Phil and his wife, Vicki, moved from Frankfort, Indiana to the Spring City community in 2006.  He loved animals and used to train dogs for hunting.  Phil also enjoyed building, remodeling and working on cars.  He attended Solomon's Porch in Dayton.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents James D. and Virginia Darlene Graham Henson III.

Survivors include his wife Vicki L. Henson of Spring City, his children Sally ( J ohn) Pike of Clayton, Indiana, Scott (Amanda) Henson of Lizton, Indiana, Steve (Corrie) Henson of Smyrna, Georgia and Sharon Jean Henson of Frankfort, Indiana, his brother Richard (Karen) Henson of Frankfort, Indiana, his sister Brenda (Danny) Thomas of Frankfort, Indiana and his grandchildren Jake, Jared, Jenna and Joe Pike, Briauna and Brayden Henson, Violet and Henry Henson and Reina and Grace Henson.

Funeral services will be held on Fri day, September 17 , 2021 at 2:00 p m in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Blankenship and Pastor Tennyson Fitch officiating.  B urial will follow in the Spring City Cemetery . The family will receive friends Fri day from 12:00 p m to 2:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
