Peggy Nuby Garrison, 76 died Monday, October 12, 2020 in Spring City.

Born on November 23, 1943, Peggy was a lifetime resident of Spring City and graduate d from Spring City High School "Class of 1961". She worked in human resources at the Tennessee Valley Authority for 31 years before her retirement. Peggy had been an active member of the O.E.S. Chapter #203 in Spring City for many years .  She was a member of the New Beginnings Pre sbyterian Church in Spring City, where she served as an Elder for her church.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Jack P. and Talitha Cumi Smith Nuby.

Survivors include her sister Jannie Dillard of Athens, Tennessee, her niece Jennifer (James) Johnson of Athens and her nephew Jay (Tiffan y) Dillard of Centerville, Iowa and several great nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service was held on Friday, October 16, 2020 in the Spring City Cemetery with the Dr. Roger Rothwell officiating.
