Peggy Rector Ensley age 79 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Friday, September 29, 2023 at her residence.

She was born on August 3, 1944 in Spring City to the late Charlie and Gertie Long Rector Sr. Peggy was a graduate of Spring City High School Class of 1962. She worked for the Rhea County Department of Education for 30 years as a teacher's aid. Peggy loved to travel, and followed Tennessee football and basketball. She also loved word search books. Peggy was a member of the Dayton Church of Christ.

Peggy was also preceded in death by her husband James Robert Ensley and her sister Johnnie Snyder.

Survivors include her children Kim Ensley and Teresa (James) Stooksberry both of Spring City, Tennessee and Rebecca (Michael) Claunch of Knoxville, Tennessee; brother Charlie (Shirley) Rector Jr. of Dayton, Tennessee; twin sister Pattie (Alvin) Dodson of Spring City; and her grandchildren Olivia Kate Claunch and Ana Blair Claunch.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Dayton Church of Christ, 170 Dayton Mt. Hwy, Dayton, TN 37321 with Minister Steve Brown officiating.
