Paul E. Roberts age 88 of Dayton, Tennessee died on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on May 14, 1935 to the late Harry and Flora Hood Roberts and was a lifetime resident of the area. Paul attended Rhea County Schools at Frazier and Old Washington. He enjoyed horseback riding and wagon riding. Paul owned and operated Paul Roberts Dozer Works for 40 years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Paul is also preceded in death by his brothers Russell, Clifford, L.G., Glen, Joe, Allen, and Dallas Roberts, his sisters Marie Turner, Mildred Vaughn, Bessie Roddy, Louise Iles, and Helen Wilkey, and his grandchildren Scott Roberts, Robin Revis, and Adam Hodge.

Survivors include his wife Janice Roberts of Dayton, Tennessee; his children Michael (Jessica) Roberts, Kathy (Darrell) Bell, and Randy Roberts all of Dayton, Tennessee, Stacie Mayes of Winchester, Michele Hodge of Philadelphia, Tennessee, Beth (Walter) Klick and Jordan (Ronnie) Morgan both of Spring City, Tennessee; his sister Jane R. Bruce of Spring City, Tennessee; his eighteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Bell officiating. A private burial will be held in Spence Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home.
