Patricia B. Wood , 80 , died Friday, July 13, 2018 at her home .

Born in Bell County, Kentucky , Patricia was the daughter of the late Clifford and Verona Atkins Baker . She was a teacher for 20 years a nd retired from the Fredonia Central School System in Fredonia, New York and taught at the Burnsville Elementary School in West Virginia, as well. Patricia also worked with the mentally challenged.  She moved to the Spring City community in 1991. Patricia was active in the Red Hat Society, the Spring City Library, the Wolf Creek Fire Department , the Senior Lighthouse Center a nd the Tennessee Valley Theatre.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Harriman , Tennessee and was a former member of the Wolf Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Clarence Wood, her daughter Tammy Wood, sisters Maryanne Woodard, Sandra Shehan and brother Boyce Baker.

Survivors include her husband Ma rsh all Patterson of Spring City, son Ronald Wood of Knoxville and three grandchildren Carlis, Cailee and Ciance.

Funeral services are Wednes day, July 18 , 2018 at 6:00 p m in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Bishop Jerry Mioduski officiating. Interment will be Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 1:30 pm in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednes day from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
