Nellie J. Oldacre 72 of Spring City died Wednesday June 15, 2022 at Rhea Medical Center.

She was born in Spring City, Tennessee on September 17, 1949 to the late Arthur W. "Ott" a nd Anna Mae Janow Ray. Nellie attended Spring City High School. She worked at various factories in the area during her lifetime, including the Southern Silk Mill and KTC Apparel. Nellie enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family; especially decorating c akes. She was of the Baptist faith.

Nellie was also preceded in death by her husband James Cole Oldacre.

Survivors include her children Randy French and Michelle Tew both of Dayton, her sisters Mary Lively of Sale Creek and Carol Pritchett of Dayton, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Nellie also leaves to mourn her passing, her faithful companion "Annie" the Boston Terrier .

Funeral services will be held at 3PM Saturday, June 18 , 2022 in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Revis officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 18 , 2022 at Vaughn Funeral Home from 1 to 3PM
