Nathan "JJ" Dougherty Jr., 43 of Spring City died on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Born in Allegan, Michigan on January 3, 1978, JJ had made his home in Rhea County since he was nine years old. He attended Rhea County High School. JJ enjoyed fishing and working in the great outdoors. He attended the Spring City Foursquare Chur ch.

Nathan was preceded in death by his father Nathan Daugherty Sr.

Survivors include his mother Merry Jo Johnson of Spring City and his sister Stacey Jo Baker of Rhode Island.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be at a later date at the Spring City Foursquare Church.
