Michael Steven Kunkel, 68 died Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Sweetwater Hospital in Sweetwater, Tennessee.

Born on September 9, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan , Michael was a lifetime resident of Spring City.  He formerly worked at SSM Industries in Spring City.  Michael was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Kunkel, father Buster Kunkel , mother Cora Lee Atkinson Brady, stepfather Edgar "Mutt" Brady and sister Rosemary Thomas.

Survivors include his brother John Kunkel of Grandview and special niece B. J. Neal of Spring City.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Sewee Church of God Cemetery in Niota, Tennessee with Lesa Frady officiating.  There will be no visitation.
