Mary Ruth Wyatt, 87 died Monday, October 19, 2020 at the Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center .
Born on August 9, 1933, Mary was a lifetime resident of Spring City. She worked in food services for many years for the Rhea County Department of Education before her retirement. Mary loved everyone; she had a servant's heart and loved taking care of others. She had an infectious smile. Mary was a member of the Pennine Baptist Church .
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph A.
and Ozene Mae Hatfield Austin and sisters
Pauline Reed, Thelma Couch and
Emogene Haskins and brothers Joseph Austin Jr., John Austin, George Austin and Delma Austin.
Survivors include her children Sue Jones (David) Bell of Sherwood, Arkansas, Brenda Jones Price of Rossville, Georgia and Tresha Jones of Dallas, Texas, brothers Frank Austin and Albert Austin both of Highpoint, North Carolina and Elbert Austin of Cleveland, Tennessee, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 3:00 pm at the Spring City Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charles Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Vaughn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pennine Baptist Church, c/o Vaughn Funeral Home, P. O. Box 129, Spring City, TN 37381.
