Mary Maxine Madewell, 87, died Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga.

A lifetime resident of Spring City, Maxine was the daughter of the late Homer and Edith Perkins Smith.  She was a graduate of Spring City High School.  Maxine was a homemaker and loved to sew and cook . She also enjoyed gardening. Maxine was a member of the Bonham Baptist Church.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband Herman Madewell, son Kenneth Madewell and sisters Lorraine Davis and Doris Thurman.

Survivors include her children Polly (Mitchell) Price of Rockwood, Mike ( Becky) Madewell and David (Kim) Madewell both of Spring City, grandchildren Greg, Lynne, Scotty, Mikey, David and Jennifer and several great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Ad d Smith Cemetery with Rev. Paul Forgey officiating.  There will be no visitation.
