Margie Howell age 83 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Laurelbrook Nursing Home in Dayton, Tennessee.

She was born on March 18, 1940 to the late Henry and Ruth Smith Morris and was a lifetime resident of the area. Margie attended school and worked at various manufacturing companies in Rhea County. She enjoyed quilting. Margie was a member of Spring City Church of God.

Margie is also preceded in death by her sons Ronald, Charles, and James Howell, her sister Bertha Westmoreland, and her brothers Johnny and Lee Morris.

Survivors include her children Billy (Robin) Howell of Dayton, Tennessee and Patsy Amonett of Spring City, Tennessee; her brothers Claude and Lonnie Morris both of Dayton, Tennessee, David Morris of Evensville, Tennessee, Robert Morris of Georgia, and Coy Morris of Winfield, Tennessee; her sisters Mary Daniels of Spring City, Tennessee and Linda Long of Georgia; her six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home will Rev. Robert Hurd officiating. She will be buried in Smith-Wilkey Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home.
