Margaret "Marge" Francis Emerson, a long-time resident of Spring City, Tennessee returned to our Father in Heaven surrounded by family on Friday, November 10, 2017.

Marge was born on October 29, 1921 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Alfred and Margaret Hibler. She was united in marriage to John P. Emerson on November 23, 1936. Marge was a vibrant and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her spirit for life and faith in God shaped her into a force to be reckoned with. Over the years, Marge was involved with her local church, St. Bridget Catholic Church, assisting in multiple fundraising events. She loved music, dancing, crocheting, and her red hair. Marge will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 47 years, John P. Emerson, her son Alfred William "Buddy" (Eric) Emerson, her brothers Alfred W. Hibler II and John F. Hibler and her sisters Beatrice Hibler, Hazel R. Hibler and Muriel V. Cuncliff.

Marge is survived by her children John "Jack" (Mary Ann) Emerson of Spring City, Richard J. Emerson of Fredon, New Jersey and Margaret (David) Bott of Spring City, sister Marie Leona Tierney of Bradenton, Florida, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, who all loved her dearly.

Funeral services are Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church with Father Sam Sturm officiating. Interment will be in the Spring City Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
