Mamie Hinch, 99 of Alpharetta, Georgia and formerly of Spring City, died Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Tap estry Memory Care in Alpharetta, GA.

Mamie was born on May 5, 1920 to the late Arthur McCellan and Ludie Gill Swafford in Greensboro, AL. Mamie attended Mosso p School for Girls, a graduate of Spring City High School and attended the Berry School in Rome, GA. She and her late husband Thomas Craven "Gus" Hinch lived in Spring City for 27 years until they moved to Florida in 1966. Mamie was a Sunday School and Bible Class teacher for 60 years, including time in Spring City and at the Florida Garden Church in Lake Worth, FL where she was a charter member. Mamie was a retired church secretary. She was a volunteer (pink lady) at JFK Hospital and a Red Cross Grey Lady.

Mamie was also preceded in death by her son Terry Hinch and her brother Dawson Swafford

Survivors include her grandchildren Terri Smith of Alpharetta, GA and Marc (Allison) Hinch of Decatur, Ill. , h er great grandchildren Hunter, Griffin, Jackson, Zachary, A lena and Andy and great great grandchild Madison.

Due to rising health concerns and the safety of the community, there will not be a public visitation. A private graveside service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2 020 at the Spring City Cemetery with Rev. Brian Price officiating. A celebration of Mamie's life will be announced at a later date.
