Lee Roy Reed age 72 of Hixson, Tennessee, formerly of Grandview, died Sunday, September 11, 2022 at The Lantern at Morning Point hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Lee Roy was born on February 2, 1950 and was a lifetime resident of the area. He was a graduate of Spring City High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict. Lee Roy later returned and worked 30 years at TVA as a member of the plumbers and pipefitters in Union #43 – Chattanooga. He enjoyed cycling, the outdoors, and spending time in the gym. Lee Roy was a member of Spring City Church of God.

Lee Roy is preceded in death by his parents Lester and Susie Edward Reed, and his sister Laverne Stewart.

Survivors include his children Kirk Reed and Bronson Reed both of Hixson, Tennessee; his sisters Brenda (Rick) Thomas of Spring City, Tennessee and Judy (Eddie) Cox of Hixson, Tennessee; his brothers Kenneth (Linda) Reed of Spring City, Tennessee, Delbert Reed and Titus Reed both of Grandview, Tennessee; 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Hinch officiating. Interment will follow at the Reed Cemetery in Grandview, Tennessee with graveside military honors. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Vaughn Funeral Home.
