Kenneth Paul Rose age 76 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

He was born on February 9, 1947 in Paducah, Kentucky. Ken graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School. He then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force where he was an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist and served in Vietnam. Ken has lived in Spring City since 1979 after moving from Seminole, Florida. He was a member of the Local #123 Plumbers and Fitters Union, worked in construction, and then retired from TVA Watts Bar in 2008 as a Document Control Specialist. Ken was an avid golfer after his retirement, and enjoyed playing with the Seniors at the Dayton Golf and Country Club.  Ken loved fishing, all Tennessee Volunteer sports, enjoyed cooking and was the best pit master around. Ken was a faithful member of the Spring City Methodist Church, Pairs and Spares Sunday School, Community Ministries and Spring City Kiwanis.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents David and Leola (Williamson) Rose Sr.

Ken was survived by his loving wife of 54 years Barbara M. Rose of Spring City,

Tennessee; his three children Kevin (Angie) Rose and Kim (Josh) Wheat both of Spring City, Tennessee and Chris (Tracey) Rose of Birchwood, Tennessee; his three brothers Dennis Rose and Duane (Jennifer) Rose both of Lone Oak, Kentucky and David (Debbie) Rose of Lansing, Kansas; and his three grandchildren Katie Rose, Dakota Rose, and Dalton Rose.  He also has several nieces and nephews and many friends  (he never met a stranger).

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at Spring City Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Grant officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. Interment will follow with military honors in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Vaughn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Spring City Methodist Church, P.O. Box 158, Spring City, TN 37381 in his memory.
