Kaylan Weaver age 60 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.

He was born on May 20, 1963 in Tampa, Florida to the late George and Jane Mondello Burgess Weaver. A native of Florida, Kaylan had lived in this area since 1990. He was a mechanic and trucker, and loved to share stories of his many adventures. After retirement, he pursued several crafts,including making soap, bread and jewelry. Kaylan's grandchildren were his greatest hobby and his life. He was of the Baptist faith.  Kaylan was best known as a big ol' teddy bear to everyone that knew him. He was the greatest husband, daddy, papa, brother, and uncle anyone could ever hope for. He would quite literally give a total stranger the shirt off of his own back. Words cannot begin to describe how much he will be missed. There is no one on this earth that will ever be able to fill his giant size 16 shoes.

Kaylan was also preceded in death by his brothers Ken Weaver and Dalton Weaver.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years Theresea Weaver of Spring City, Tennessee; children Nina (Eddie) Ward and Nicolee (Matthew) Hoskins both of Spring City, and Katelyn (Brad) Hixson of Graysville, Tennessee; brothers Kirby Weaver, Wayne Weaver, and Kelton Weaver all of Florida; sister Sandee Weaver of Florida; and grandchildren Kaylee Babineau, Calysta Ward, Nicolas Hoskins, Savanna Hoskins, Eddie Lee Ward, Gavin Melear-Hoskins, Atton Hixson, DaniRay Ward, and Bastila Hixson.

There will be no funeral services or visitation.
