Katrina L. Benton age 56 of Spring City, Tennessee died on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

She was born on September 19, 1966 in Dayton, Tennessee. Katrina was a graduate of Rhea County High School "Class of 1984" and attended Roane State Community College. She recently graduated from Chattanooga State with honors, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and was also class president. She worked in various jobs including cake decorating, working with special needs children, and driving their van. Katrina was a member of Reed United Methodist Church in Spring City.

Katrina was preceded in death by her stepfather Rev. Joe R. Huddleston Sr., brother Charles L. Benton II, grandmother Kathylean C. McDonald, first cousin Christopher Lewis, and step brother Cedric Huddleston.

Survivors include her mother Noralean C. Benton Huddleston of Spring City, Tennessee; niece Jayden Nicole Benton of Spring City; sister in law Kim Kelley Benton of Spring City; step sisters Mary Huddleston (Barry) Ray, Sonia Huddleston (Ernest) Murehead, and Semeko (Richard) Rucker all of Gallatin, Tennessee; step brother Joe R. (Ashley) Huddleston Jr. of Pensacola, Florida; and aunts & uncles Paulette Lewis, Joyce Ann (Wesley) Jackson, Gwendolyn Teresa (Kenneth) Banks, Tina Marie Perkins, Lena McDonald Rymer, and Ben McDonald, and many cousins

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring City Methodist Church with Rev. James Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow at Petersburg Cemetery in Spring City. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
