Judy Gayle Harris, 71, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at her home.

Born in Whitwell, Tennessee, Judy was the daughter of the late James Ursher and Geneva Thomas Pickett. She moved from Chattanooga to the Spring City community over 25 years ago. Judy was a member of the South Whitwell Baptist Church .

She was preceded in death by her stepbrother Randall Shell.

Judy is survived by her husband Wilbur Harris Jr. of Spring City, children Ta bitha Pickett of Whitwell, Melanie Works of Nashville , Elmer Harris of Dayton and Betsy Bahr of Florida, brother Terry Shell of South Pittsburg, sisters Faye Lofty of Whitwell, Brenda Jones of South Carolina, Patricia Anderson of Chattanooga and Avis Pickett of Spring City, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednes day , December 26, 2018 from 4:00 p m to 6:00 p m at Vaughn Funeral Home.  Burial will be Thursday at 2:00 pm/EST in the Smith Cemetery in Powells Crossroads, Tennessee.
