John A. Wilson, 65 , died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Roane Medical Center in Harriman .

Born in Lexington, Kentucky , John was the son of the late Burnell "Zeke" and Edith Kerr Wilson.  He and his family moved from Kentucky to Spring City in 1970.   John attended Spring City High School and was a member of the Class of 1973.  He and his family owned and operated Wilson's Welcome Inn formerly "Scotties" for many years.  A talented designer, John owned and operated the Town and Country Florist in Spring City for many years.  He loved to sing and play the piano.  John was also an ac complished chef.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his partner of 22 years John Carpenter of Rockwood, son Brent (Makayla Underhill) Wilson of Spring City , brother Larry W. (Millie) Wilson of Pembroke Pines, Florida, nephew John Patrick Wilson and niece Candice Lynn Friedhof both of Pembroke Pines, Florida, grandchildren Emma and Ava Wilson both of Spring City, mother of his son Debra (Tom) Phillips of Spring City and special friends John and Robert a Ginn of Helenwood, Tennessee.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
